The echoes of some of the ancient stories, especially when they are read during your sensitive teenager eyars, remain very strong in your mind. This is one of those stories.
I read a book a long while ago which shocked me very well. The book was about a more sophisticated alien race, which has left clear marks on earth of its existence, all on purpose.
The reason why I wish to publish this experience is that probably these type of books have shaken other readers too and it would be interesting to share that "moving" experience.
The presentations of the books of Erich van Däniken are based on the assumption that our human race was enrichened by another, far more sophisticated alien race. This whole assumption makes you first feel like the people on earth actually exist inside of a laboratorium cage... Then comes curiosity and suspicion - how is this kind of logic possible - can it be true at all - when shall we know for sure?
People always seek for the absolute truth, and our whole justice system is also based on that. But after discovering the limited space on earth we are living in, the only sensible conclusion seems to be: human brain is just not able to process all that information which could be available to us. There is so much information which is out of the mandkind's reach. You would quickly draw a conclusion that it is "meant" to be that way - but meant by whom? Just the same, we could be actually living in a nice vacuum tent, totally unaware and sheltered from all the horror and disorder of the universum. But is it meant to be that way, or are we some day allowed to work our way to reach out from our protective "shelter" (limited capacity of our understanding)?
The preserving of our strong positive attitude and bright belief in the future remain the most powerful asset of our mankind. We are repeatedly able to discover many scientific and biological innovations despite of the nature of killing each other (power struggle) - amazing enough. After every catastrophy mankind has been able to believe into an improved future and able to "re-born" like in the story of the fenix-bird. Mankind probably obtains a sort of collective mindset for future improvement, and this is showing every time when new, widely distributed positive messages are presented by a powerful and influencial leadership.
But the stories of that book remain echoing somewhere in the background. There can be another dimension of ancient history which we are unaware about, but shall be discovering in the future. So how much our race needs to develop biologically until we can comprehend the new dimentions of information - the truth is out there - forever unreachable?
Efforts of Economy
The foundations of world economy have been focusing on gaining profits and growth, and even more profits and growth. We still haven't experienced devastating enough economic crisis or catastrophical situations, leading the decision making organs into different thinking: there must be other commonly acceptable rules for our world economy? Any out-of-the-box ideas? The truth is that human beings were born to search, explore and innovate. That's why its only a matter of time, on which decade we'll awaken to realize the current venomous rules of the world economy, its short-sighted and meaningless efforts of evaluating companies with just a few indicators - numbers of profit and growth. This development has not only lead to couple of beautiful success stories, but to mental, social and attitude problems of the whole working population as well. Working population is not feeling so relaxed anymore. Free time has increased but at the same time job responsibilities are planned very short-sighted, roles made unclear and the motivation mechanisms set to be driven by cost savings and sales increase by double-digits.
It can take a very long time to spin the wheel towards different values in the economy, values which cherish the natural environment and people respecting each others. But we like to believe that human being is wise... and that we are able to see the benefits of large populations well being instead of benefits of short-sighted individualism and capitalism. The worst is happening when environment is destroyed with individual and short-sighted motives. Governments should guard and stress the environmental aims in the future - since global environmental stability is the most important factor for human being's survival on this planet.
When all decisions would be made by setting our childrens future, wellbeing and benefits first, it would make it easy to see the right directions and keep sustainable perspective. Nobody is going to raise a hand when we ask: who wants to leave a polluted and poor globe for the next generation. The perspective is currently just too short.

Focus in Food
Pigs, cows, chicken, oat, barley, wheat. These are typical agricultural products which end up in our kitchen to be further prepared as food items for our family.
But the domestic food production has been disappearing little by little. When farmers don't get enough income from the agricultural products they choose for other income sources and move away from the food production chain.
Especially during the year 2008 inflation has accelerated and consumers are suffering from the food price increase. But the price increase of the agricultural products is not visible in the salary slip of a Finnish farmer. The main reason for this strange development is the annual food price negotiations, when couple of main market players decide the food level prices in Finland for the coming half a year. This also allows the negotiations of the price levels paid to the farmers. It does not sound like a liberally working part of our economy, but a cartell.
This domestic price development will end up in importing an increasing amount of agricultural prouducts into Finland. We have a long tradition of agriculture in Finland, but during the past couple of decades our wheat fields have started growing weed and cow houses are turning into sheds. We are about to ruin this corner stone of our well being, domestic food production, due to the greed of the food market enterprises. We can still prevent the future domestic food crisis when we stop allowing the rules of economy and greed to be applied into the food products.

Nature is providing music, sounds which open for an observing listener. The nature sound world "producers" are among other things: water, wind, thunder, birds, trees, leaves and insects. In Finnish language we actually have hundreds of words in order to describe these exact and unique natural sounds. In English language the natural sounds vocabulary is somewhat limited.
Firstly, it is remarkable to learn how the nature sound world changes during the different times of the day. The middle of the day, the warmest and sunniest moment, is the most quiet "siesta" moment of the nature. The busiest sound world is experienced in the early morning and late evening.
The sounds of nature are special in many ways. There is no rhythm or regularity, there is nothing we can really expect to happen or know "for sure" - there is no certainty. Just random elements of surprise. The natural sounds are at the same time simple, profound, changing and meaningful. Since nature is consisting of living organisms which are not meant to be copied or reproduced as such, the sound world is also ever changing and mutating, mixture of earlier experiences and current situation. The sound moment that just passed might never return and the recently recorded, unique mixture of various sounds may never be heard again. But in the end, one person doesn't really know if the sound is repeating since our whole world is based on individual experiences and comparing the individual experiences with each other.
Due to the unpredictability, the wild nature as whole can be scary for the modern human being. Modern human being can only experience limited control towards the natural happenings on this globe. Human being does not understand all "the laws of nature" and this is probably meant to be so - at least for the next era of 1000 years.
